Founder, Physiotherapist, Pilates Master Trainer
Pippa Carter
Pippa Carter is an experienced Physiotherapist and Pilates Master Trainer with a lifelong passion for movement and performance. Beginning her career as a dance teacher, she developed a deep understanding of body awareness and control, which continues to shape her teaching today.
Since qualifying as a Physiotherapist in 2008, Pippa has built an outstanding career across elite performance and clinical settings, working with The Royal Ballet Company, BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, and numerous West End productions. Her unique blend of clinical expertise and movement insight has established her as a trusted specialist in dance medicine and rehabilitation.
In addition to her work in performance settings, Pippa has extensive experience in pelvic health physiotherapy, leading the service at Spire Cardiff Hospital for five years and continuing to expand her expertise through ongoing specialist training.
After completing her Pilates training with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) in 2014, Pippa joined their education team as a Presenter, later achieving the distinguished title of Master Trainer—a role held by only a select group of educators.
Pippa now runs The Welsh Pilates Company, part of CPP Wellbeing Ltd, where she combines her clinical knowledge and teaching experience to deliver classes that are precise, empowering, and grounded in movement science.

APPI Pilates Instructor
Harriet Jones
Harriet Jones is an APPI-qualified Matwork and Reformer Pilates instructor whose passion for Pilates began during her professional swimming career. Initially introduced to Pilates to support her training in the pool, Harriet quickly discovered how transformative it could be for strength, control, and overall wellbeing.
Having been mentored and taught by our own Master Trainer, Pippa Carter, Harriet developed her skills over many years as a dedicated Pilates student before deciding to qualify as an instructor herself. Since retiring from competitive swimming, she has embraced teaching with enthusiasm, bringing the same focus and determination that defined her sporting career.
Harriet’s background as an elite athlete is truly inspiring. She represented Wales at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia and again at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. She also competed for Great Britain at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the 2021 European Championships in Budapest, holding several Welsh records in the 50m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle.
Her classes are caring, inclusive, and motivating, delivered with an athlete’s attention to detail and a genuine desire to help others move better and feel stronger. Harriet’s approach reflects her own journey — a blend of discipline, passion, and encouragement — inspiring everyone she teaches to discover their own potential through Pilates.

APPI Pilates Instructor
Jean Croft-Baker
Jean Croft-Baker discovered Pilates over twelve years ago while recovering from a skiing accident. What began as part of her rehabilitation soon developed into a lifelong passion for movement and strength. She believes Pilates helped her maintain her hip health for over a decade before eventually undergoing a hip replacement — a testament to the power of consistent, mindful movement.
Her personal journey has given her a deep appreciation for how Pilates can keep the body strong, mobile, and confident at any age. In 2016, Jean became a Peak Pilates Instructor, and more recently qualified with APPI, specialising in focused strengthening and rehabilitation.
Jean is an inspiring individual and a true advocate for the philosophy of “practice what you preach.” She takes the time to care for her own body and is a living example of how Pilates supports lifelong health and vitality. Her classes are supportive, encouraging, and empowering, ensuring every client feels guided and capable of achieving their best.
